PC Dual Revision Narrative history

PC: Dual-1.exe   (10-29-2004):   This one assumes ZIP drive is D: or E: (PC).

PC: Dual-2.exe   (11-12-2004):   This one is: 'DIFF.EXE' stops reading a pair of catalogs at the same time; Root 'Dir.Txt' misses two top directories; No 'GrandSum.Txt' (Grand Summary).

PC: Dual-3.exe   (01-26-2005):   From Oct-2004 to Jan-2005, assuming Win95/98 only. Longer folder names are cut down at DIFF reports.

PC: Dual-4.exe   (02-13-2005):   Assuming scanning folders are 1-99, more than 100 folders, the DIFF reports are cut off at 99. 'GrandSum.Txt' reports well.

PC: Dual-5.exe   (06-04-2005):   All PC versions up to this assumes Shadow Hard Disk (SDW) as "C: " (drive name).

PC: Dual-6.exe   (07-22-2005):   All PC versions up to this use command "DIR", while the newer version use "DIR /B" (brief switch). Detail internal messages are present in this 07-22-2005 version, but most of them are taken out from the latest version.

PC: Dual-7.exe   (12-24-2006):   All PC versions up to this version works with so-so length of folder names such as up to 50 characters. To work with very longer folder names, internal codes are adjusted from [64] to [128] at current Dual.exe (posted date 08-27-2008).
